Petition: Extend COVID Paid Leave at UPS
Growing numbers of UPS Teamsters are having to quarantine without pay, because the company caps paid leave for COVID at ten days for the entire pandemic.
COVID cases are skyrocketing. The pandemic is 10 months old and the end is many months away. There is no “cap” on our exposure to this virus.
The ten-day cap on COVID leave is forcing UPSers to either return to work as a health risk or go without a paycheck.
When UPS does pay COVID leave, checks are delayed and not subject to penalty pay, another loophole that needs to be fixed.
We call on UPS to protect workers and the public by eliminating the 10-day cap on paid leave for workers who have to quarantine and paying COVID leave on time.
