Amazon Teamsters are on strike across the country because the company is refusing to recognize their union and negotiate a contract.

UPS released their profits and revenue financials yesterday for the third quarter of 2024, with higher than expected profits despite a slowdown in online sales in the United States.

BREAKING UPDATE: UPS has agreed to reinstate the employees that were illegally laid off in retaliation for organizing with the Teamsters. The reinstatement victory avoids peak season strike action that loomed on Monday. All affected workers will receive full back pay and return to their positions on their next scheduled workdays.

UPS Teamsters ratified the new contract by 86.3% of the vote in record voter turnout of more than 58%. If you’re a full-time UPS Teamster in the West, your pension will grow by approximately $1,500 a month during the proposed contract. 

More than 60,000 full-time UPS Teamsters in the Central Region, South and the Carolinas have won record pension increases of up to $1,000/month.

The IBT-UPS Pension Plan covers more Teamsters in 22 states. It is the biggest pension plan covering full-time UPS Teamsters, but for years members in it have gotten the lowest benefits of all major Teamster pension funds.
